Enjoy lovely lullabies, lively folktunes, and music sure to get you dancing with your baby! The rich musical environment that we create together gives your baby a solid foundation of beat awareness, vocal production, and aural discrimination. At this stage, we know everything goes into your baby's mouth! That's why you receive your very own instrument kit (which includes a digital download and parent activity book) to use at home and in class.The $40 registration fee covers materials, which are yours to keep. One of the best things about a toddler music class is making new friends! We'll sing, dance, learn fingerplays, and begin focused listening activities. Young children will also practice circle games while developing the ability to follow directions and participate in a group setting. Children will delight in creating music with a wide variety of simple percussive instruments (claves, jingles, sandblocks, maracas, drums, etc.) The $40 registration fee covers the book/music download, which is yours to keep. We are so confident that you'll love Musikgarten that we invite you to enjoy the first class without obligation. The $60 tuition fee will not be billed unless you decide you'd like to secure your place for the full semester.

This class is designed to nurture the emergent independence of the 3-5 year old with caregivers present. Activities follow the changing of the seasons and include singing, chanting, listening games, tonal and rhythmic patterns, instrument exploration, poetry and stories, and creative movement. Although parents stay for the class, some of the activities are designed to have the children participate independently of their parents. Materials include 2 superior musical downloads, activity book, and 12 picture cards in a cloth bag for you to keep so the learning continues at home!

- Folklore and storytelling
- Culture, geography, and language
- Folk music and dancing
- Reading notation through flash cards and on songsheets
- Tonal patterns in major & minor tonalities, using solfege
- Rhythm patterns in duple and triple meters
- Playing instruments -- drums, shakers, marimbas, steel pan, etc
