FREE Preview Class
New to Musikgarten? 
You are welcome to try your first class without obligation. Simply visit the REGISTER  page and select "FREE Preview Class" List the class, date and time you would like to visit. We will contact you to confirm your visit. 


TUES: On a Trip (Toddlers)
18 months-3.5 years w/ caregiver
Tuesdays 9:00-9:30
January 7--April 1  (no class March 28)
Registration: $40 (includes book/music) + Tuition: $60 ($5.00/class)= $100






Come sail on a boat, take a train ride up to the mountains, and rumble in a buggy through the countryside.  We'll sing, dance, learn fingerplays, and begin focused listening activities.  Young children will also practice circle games while developing the ability to participate in a group setting and follow directions. Children will delight in creating music with a variety of simple percussive instruments (claves, jingles, sandblocks, maracas, drums, etc.) All framilies receive Musikgarten's superb musical CD/downloadand accompanying picture book so that the fun and learning can continue at home. We are so confident that you'll love Musikgarten that we invite you to enjoy the first class with no obligation. The $60 tuition fee will not be billed unless you decide you'd like to secure your place for the full semester. 


My Musical World (Babies)
6-18 months w/caregiver
Tues  9:45-10:15 a.m.
6-Week Spring: April 8-May 13
Registration: $20 (includes music kit) Tuition: $30 ($5.00/class) $50
Travel around the world to enjoy music from cultures near and far! The rich musical environment that we create together gives your baby a solid foundation of beat awareness, vocal production, and aural discrimination. At this stage, we know everything goes into your baby's mouth! That's why you receive your very own instrument kit (which includes a digital download and parent activity book) to use at home and in class. The $20 registration fee covers materials, which are yours to keep.

Whose voice to you hear? Is it high or low, fast or slow? Explore music making with your active toddler!!  We'll sing, dance, learn fingerplays, and begin focused listening activities.  Young children will also practice circle games while developing the ability to participate in a group setting and follow directions. Children will delight in creating music with a variety of simple percussive instruments (claves, jingles, sandblocks, maracas, drums, etc.) All families receive Musikgarten's superb musical download and accompying picture book so that the fun and continue at home.

Music Makers: British Isles (1st & 2nd Grades--ILS)

Mondays, 2:45-3:45 afterschool

ILS Students Grades 1 & 2

In this highly interactive class, music from around the world comes alive! Fee includes afterschool snack and take-home folder with songsheets, music download, decoder, and flashcards. In this unique class, we will explore:
  • The music of England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales
  • Folklore and storytelling 
  • Culture, geography, and language
  • Folk music and dancing 
  • Reading notation through flash cards and on songsheets
  • Tonal patterns in major & minor tonalities, using solfege
  • Rhythm patterns in duple and triple meters
  • Playing instruments -- drums, shakers, xylophones, etc.
